Hoax spreaders, are you crazy or shameless?

Fake news is written and published usually with the aim of misleading the minds of others.  hoaxes can also damage the good name of others, damage peace but provide financial or political benefits to hoax spreaders.  hoaxes often use sensational, dishonest, or directly fabricated news to increase the number of readers.  Hoax has no positive side.  Therefore, to eradicate hoaxes, the government must be firm against the spread of hoaxes.

First, the government must move faster than hoax spreaders.  The government can conduct counseling or seminars as a form of government care about the safety of the community from hoaxes.  such as coming to the area where people live, schools, and other institutions.

Second, as a more powerful institution, the government is expected to punish hoax spreaders.  however, the punishment given must be in accordance with the impact of the hoax that is spread.  this will provide a deterrent effect on hoaxes spreaders.  not only that, the community will be more careful in accepting and spreading the news it receives. such as affirmation of the law Article 28 paragraph 1 of the Information and Electronic Transaction Law or the ITE Law (ITE Law).

The last, as an institution that is trusted by the community, the government should create a special source of information that can be trusted by the community.  so, if a hoax is spread, the public knows which source to trust.  such as government-owned radio RRI and sources of information from social media such as kompas.com.

In conclusion, the government is the savior of the community from hoax poison. Because in today's hoax is growing, the government must move faster.  hoaxes cannot be eradicated without government support and action. In addition to the government, the community is also expected to support the government by following the government's method as one of the parties that can save the community from hoaxes.
