understanding time

HOW TO EXPRESS TIME ON WATCH OR O'CLOCK....???

Di blog kali ini saya ingin berbagi sedikit ilmu yang saya dapat dari tempat les saya..
that is how to express time on watch or o'clock.

Word Keys :
1. Past : Lewat
2. To : Kurang
3. O'clock : Tepat (o'clock = of clock)
4. Minute : Menit
5. Hour : Jam
6. Second : Detik
7. A quarter : Seperempat
8. A half : Setengah
9. a.m (Ante Meridien) : pukul 00:00 - 11:59 (tengah malam-tengah hari)
10. p.m (Post Meridien) : pukul 12:00 - 11:59 (tengah hari-tengah malam)

Note : for a.m and p.m are used for the same time system of 12 hours in Europe.

the type of clock :
A. Analog Clock : mostly used in British English.
example :

• 08.10 p.m = ten past eight
• 10.30 a.m = thirty past ten / a half past ten
• 07.55 a.m = five to eight / fifty five past seven (not common)

B. Digital Clock : always used entire English speaker, especially American English.

example :

• 08.10 p.m = eight - ten
• 10.30 a.m = ten - thirty
• 07.55 a.m = seven - fifty five
