counseling conducted by the Directorate of Metro Jaya Regional Police Binmas
together with the Indonesian Culture and Museum Observer Group (KPBMI) on
Thursday, April 4, 2019 about hoax and hate speech at the National Awakening
Museum, Mr. Rendy from the Jakarta Police said that hoax were fake news made by
convincing so it is considered right by many people. This is one of the efforts
made by the government to prevent false news.

gives punishment to hoax spreaders.

Headquarters Commissioner Rikwanto said the perpetrators of hoaxes could be
threatened Article 28 paragraph 1 of the Information and Electronic Transaction
Law or the ITE Law. It is a punishment that has been applied by the government.

public must be more critical in choosing the source of information obtained.

event about hoaxes and expressions of hatred at the National Awakening Museum.
The activity involved about 60 people in the community, including students,
scouts and communities. The material was given by Mr. Rendy from the Jakarta
